Human resources dashboard.

Tools: Tableau
How This Project Was Created
The goal of the Human Resources Dashboard was to provide both high-level summaries and detailed insights to drive strategic decisions around employee retention, recruitment, and development. This dashboard is designed to empower HR managers and stakeholders to analyze workforce data effectively and efficiently.
The Process
1. Understanding the User's Needs
The project began with defining the requirements: HR managers wanted a tool that could deliver both a quick overview of workforce metrics and an in-depth breakdown of employee data. From there, I structured the dashboard into two main sections:
Summary View: Designed to give a snapshot of overall HR metrics, employee demographics, and salary analysis.
Employee Records View: A detailed, interactive table for deep-diving into employee-specific information.
2. Designing the Summary View
This section provides three key analyses:
Overview: Visual representations of hired, active, and terminated employees, as well as comparisons across departments, locations, and job titles.
Demographics: Insights into gender ratios, education levels, and age groups to understand the composition of the workforce.
Income Analysis: Salary trends across different demographics and their relationship with employee roles.
3. Developing the Employee Records View
This part of the dashboard offers a comprehensive list of all employees with essential details like name, department, position, gender, education, and salary. The table includes interactive filters that allow users to explore specific employee data based on selected criteria.
4. Preparing the Data
Before visualizing the data, I ensured it was clean and accurate:
Removed duplicates and filled missing values.
Organized data into categories for better storytelling.
Created calculated fields to highlight trends.
5. Building the Dashboard in Tableau
With the data ready, I utilized Tableau to:
Create interactive charts, graphs, and tables.
Add slicers and filters for users to customize their views.
Ensure the dashboard was visually appealing and easy to navigate.
The Final Product
The completed HR Dashboard is a powerful tool for HR professionals, offering:
A high-level Summary View to quickly visualize key metrics.
A detailed Employee Records View for in-depth exploration of workforce data.
Interactive features that allow stakeholders to focus on areas of interest and uncover actionable insights.
